Reminiscing about the past is such a powerful thing. Its a great way for people to connect and get to know each other better.
The reminiscing group got together once more to connect over their favourite childhood memories. Meeting socially encourages friendships and fun, all while reducing peoples feelings of isolation and loneliness.
The group chose a beach theme this time, with everyone decorating their homes with sand pits and inflatable palm trees.
Many people talked about visiting British seaside resorts as a holiday during their childhood. Here are some of the places people loved exploring:
Blackpool
Burnt Island
Ayr
Portobello
Dumfries
In-between lots of conversation, food and cocktails, the group also played games and wrote postcards.
Clair Harkness, service manager, said: The group thought it was really good fun writing postcards as they felt this had become a thing of the past.
Overall, It was a great get-together and it was nice to see people connecting over their fond memories of spending time with their family, building sandcastles, paddling in the sea, and eating fish and chips.
