Where Your Money Goes

Every penny raised through the Canal Challenge goes back into community projects in Scotland.

Fundraised money enables us to provide many varied additional opportunities for people and families across Scotland to come together and improve their lives.

Any amount of money fundraised can go a long way to providing new opportunities for people in Scotland. Our community projects give people a chance to meet new people, create new friendships, and develop and increase their sense of community by helping people to increase their confidence and determination to live a more fulfilling life.

Previous fundraised money has gone to projects, such as, Keep Warm Boxes for people in Argyll & Bute, running a Games Group for people in Glasgow and hosting a Cooking Club in Edinburgh.

For more on what we do with fundraised money, visit our Fundraising pages.

The Route

Challenge yourself to walk, roll or cycle along the Forth & Clyde and Union Canal towpaths, and fundraise for the #BigCarrGommChallenge.

This walk is not just about covering a distance; it’s about walking with purpose.

By taking part you will help raise vital funds that go directly towards setting up and running community projects across Scotland.

These projects give the most vulnerable in our society a safe place to meet new friends and feel a sense of belonging.

Join us for the full five days, or even just a morning – you have the freedom to decide what is a challenge for you.

Bring your loved ones – family, friends, and pets are more than welcome to join you on this special challenge!

Choose your fundraising target and set up your personal fundraising page on Just Giving to start collecting donations.
