What do you do?
- I ensure that Carr Gomm has a positive impact in the lives of people, families and communities throughout Scotland.
- Develop innovative new approaches, and by ensuring that our policies and systems relating to staff are progressive and helpful.
- I influence policy-makers and tell commissioners about our impact.
Why did you want to work for us?
I wanted to work for an organisation that was passionate about social justice, equality, and pushing the boundaries of possibility. I feel an enormous sense of privilege that I found Carr Gomm and we share a passion for revolutionising social care.
What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy influencing national and local government policies, and working across Scotland to have a positive influence on citizens: every day brings an opportunity to change someone’s life for the better. I’m looking forward to leading our international collaboration project to see if we can improve Carr Gomm by learning from friends across the world.
What’s the work/life balance like?
I care deeply about Carr Gomm and so I don’t see my work as separate from my life, but an integral part; bringing diverse experiences, responsibilities, and joy. Carr Gomm feels like part of my family.
