International Women’s Day 2023

On this International Women’s Day, we celebrate the achievements and contributions of women around the world. At Carr Gomm, we are proud to have a strong female leader at the helm: our CEO, Lucy Wren.

Lucy has been with Carr Gomm since its inception 25 years ago. During that time, she has been instrumental in shaping the organisation into the inclusive, person-centred, and forward-thinking charity it is today. Under her leadership, Carr Gomm has grown and expanded its services, providing support and care to people across Scotland.

As a woman in a leadership position, Lucy is a role model for others and has demonstrated the power women have to affect change. Lucy’s commitment to enriching the lives of people we support and dedication to her team has been unwavering during the challenges faced by the Coronavirus pandemic and the Cost of Living Crisis. We are truly fortunate to have her as our CEO.

At Carr Gomm, we believe in creating a workplace that is inclusive and supportive for all. Our gender pay gap is 0%, meaning that women are paid £1.00 for every £1.00 paid to a man. In addition, we understand the challenges that menopause can pose for women in the workplace. That’s why we’ve implemented policies to ensure that our employees receive the support and accommodations they need during this transition.

Today we celebrate Lucy and all the other amazing women who make up Carr Gomm. Let’s continue to support and uplift each other as we work towards a more equal world for all.
