Fundraising success for Glasgow South Race Night!

Glasgow South team hosted a fantastic Fundraising event – raising over £1,000 for projects in Glasgow!

Our team in Glasgow South organised an incredibly successful Race Night to raise funds for their important projects in the community. The event attracted a fantastic crowd, bringing together people from across the community for an evening filled with excitement and laughter. There was a lively atmosphere filled with fun and music. Attendees enjoyed each race while cheering for their favourite competitors.

In addition to the thrilling races, there were several opportunities for participants to win fantastic prizes, adding to the excitement of the evening. A few lucky winners walked away with some great prizes too!

The mastermind behind this wonderful event was Jackie, a Glasgow Support Practitioner. Jackie is deeply committed to fostering community engagement and runs several local groups, including the Glasgow Walking and Games Group. The funds raised during the Race Night will be instrumental in supporting these groups, ensuring they continue to thrive and provide meaningful connections for people supported in the area.

It was hard work, pulling this altogether but I was very grateful and impressed with the support I got from everyone. On the night, it was great to see everyone enjoy themselves, and we were also joined by our colleagues from the NHS. We raised £1092.40, which was way beyond my expectations. – Jackie, Support Practitioner and event organiser

Overall, the Race Night not only succeeded in its fundraising goals but also strengthened community ties, created lasting memories, and highlighted the importance of coming together for a common purpose.

A huge congratulations to Jackie and the team for organising such a fantastic event!
