Community Contacts, a Carr Gomm project, is thrilled to participate in the ‘Promoting Personal Assitant Employment Opportunities Locally’ events in Caithness this October.

To promote PA opportunities in the Caithness area, NHS Highland and the Highland Council, in collaboration with Community Contacts, are hosting a series of events, to help you learn more about becoming a Personal Assistant (PA) in social care or receiving support as a PA employer. Whether you’re new to the role or an experienced PA, our events will provide practical advice, resources, and support.

What is a Personal Assistant?

A Personal Assistant (PA) in social care is more than a job; it’s a commitment to working in a person-centred way. PAs play a crucial role in assisting people to manage daily life in their own homes, such as personal care, meal preparation, befriending, and more. The role offers the opportunity to work flexibly with someone and develop a trusting and supportive relationship.
