Aspiring Managers Development Programme

Aspiring Managers Development Programme

Supporting social care organisations to develop the next generation of managers.

Our Aspiring Managers Development Programme equips future leaders with the confidence, skills, and resilience they need to thrive as first line managers.

This specialist programme is designed for organisations who want to invest in their workforce and strengthen their leadership pipeline.

Why This Programme?

Unlike generic management training, this programme is purpose-built for adult social care. It prepares participants for the realities of leading people and services in a values-driven sector. With extensive backgrounds in social care and leadership development, our facilitators bring both credibility and real-world understanding. Delivered in partnership with Kinharvie and other sector experts, they create a supportive and challenging learning environment.

By the end of the programme, participants will have:

  1. A clear understanding of what it means to be a confident, competent social care manager.
  2. Practical skills to lead people, manage services, and navigate change.
  3. Strong awareness of legislation, strategy, and quality standards.
  4. Greater self-awareness and resilience to thrive in leadership.

Programme Highlights

The programme is delivered in four interactive stages, blending expert-led sessions, peer learning, and real-world application:

  • Getting started and the role of the manager

  • Managing yourself and others

  • Strategy, culture and leading change

  • Delivering high-quality services

Each stage includes reflective practice, group learning, and opportunities to hear from experienced managers.

I have learned so much from this programme such as how to deal with conflict and what steps to take, how to manage a team where everyone has different personalities and how important having a strategic plan is.
