Supporting People with Physical Disabilities
We support people with physical disabilities across Scotland, helping you live independently, stay connected, and enjoy your community. Our support is person-centred, flexible, and adapts to your goals, abilities, and daily needs.
Person-Centred Support
We focus on the areas that matter most to you, helping you achieve independence, confidence, and enjoyment in your daily life. This may include:
-
Maximising independence at home, including support with medication, finances, personal care, health and wellbeing, and adapted environments
-
Enjoying education, work, or volunteering
-
Building and maintaining relationships with friends and family
-
Travelling safely
-
Attending social activities, connecting with local resources, and trying new things
-
Transitioning from child to adult services
-
Providing respite for family and carers
Our Support Practitioners are trained to provide flexible, compassionate support, helping you live safely, confidently, and to live your best life.
Our Impact
Every person we support has their own story and interests. Take John, for example. He’s a veteran and a passionate disability advocate, and a keen photographer. With support from his Support Practitioners, John manages daily life and enjoys outings that fuel his hobbies and independence.
You might also see John fundraising for Poppy events around Edinburgh, showing how support can help you take part in your community, follow your passions, and make a difference.
Stories like John’s show how person-centred support helps you live safely, stay active, and pursue the activities and goals that matter most to you.
