Salary: £35,487 - £40,288 per annum
Locality: Rural Services

Category: Administration Officer

Job Type: Full Time

Job Description

Supporting people to live their best lives starts with supporting the teams who care for them. As Learning and Development Manager for our Rural Services, you’ll play a key role in helping colleagues grow, develop, and reach their full potential across Argyll & Bute and the Highlands. From designing innovative training programs to mentoring staff and shaping career development pathways, you’ll ensure our teams have the skills, confidence, and inspiration to deliver the highest-quality, person-centred care in people’s own homes.

About Us

Carr Gomm is one of Scotland’s leading social care and community development charities; we strive to support people to achieve their individual hopes and dreams every day. We know our work is challenging and very rewarding, and we require people with a flexible and inspirational approach who can find innovative solutions with people, not for them.

As the Learning and Development Manager for rural services, you will be instrumental in understanding the learning needs and aspirations of our teams, co-designing a dynamic learning plan, and thereafter working flexibly to upskill colleagues within our L&D and career development strategies. This position is a unique opportunity to lead the learning and development across Rural services in both Argyll & Bute and Highland and will be an integral role within the management team for Rural services.

Who We are Looking For

In our eyes, the best Learning and Development Managers are natural leaders who are passionate about helping people to learn and grow; they have excellent communication and people skills which they use to forge strong, productive relationships with stakeholders; and they have the capacity to design and deliver learning materials using a range of media to help colleagues understand and reach their potential. This role will predominately be in person with travel throughout Argyll & Bute required.

We expect you to proactively plan and prioritise multiple learning initiatives, innovations, and projects; ensuring that our materials are relevant and impactful. You will have experience of all aspects of learning and development, gained in a social care environment with the resilience and self-assurance to influence and inspire others. You will also engage with the external social care and L&D environment, keeping abreast of innovations and best practice. Professional qualifications are desirable, as is an ability to demonstrate experience of work which matches the requirements of this profile. This role offers the opportunity for home working as well as travelling across Argyll & Bute and Highlands.

Why Join Carr Gomm

You will be part of a supportive and forward-thinking organisation that invests in its people. • Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption, and sick leave
  • A Defined Contribution pension scheme, with incremental employer contributions
  • Access to the Carr Gomm App: which includes free physiotherapy, health coaching and counselling
