Carr Gomm has services throughout Argyll & Bute that support people with our person-centred approach.
Support in Argyll & Bute
Our Care at home Service is delivered in Dunoon, Rothesay, Campbeltown, and Lochgilphead. We support individuals with their daily life routine as per their support plan. This will often include meal preparation, medication administration, and personal care, as well as other aspects of daily life.
This service also supports those approaching end-of-life care in their own homes, where this is their choice.
Our Mobile home care teams support and facilitate hospital discharges and community escalation to prevent hospital or care home admission. The Teams also provide short-term care at home service to help determine any longer-term requirements.
Our Responder services work across all Mainland areas of Argyll & Bute, including Rothesay.
These services operate 24/7, responding to Telecare Alarms as well as s supporting hospital discharges and unplanned eventualities.
The teams will also support people to remain at home whenever possible and practical.
Housing Support operates across Argyll & Bute. The teams provide people with tenancy sustainment, homeless prevention and drop-in information and support services.

Carr Gomm regularly recruits full-time, part-time and relief roles in Argyll & Bute. You don’t need experience, just a passion for social care and making a positive difference. We support differently. Can you? As part of our support team, you will be a valuable asset in the day-to-day support of people throughout Argyll & Bute. The role varies daily to assist people to live their life how they choose and supports people in their own homes and communities. Social care can be challenging but is a hugely rewarding career as you are making a real difference in people’s lives. You don’t need to have experience, as full training is provided, but the right values and motivation are essential; honesty, respect, empathy, and compassion are key skills that are required in people who join our teams.

Carr Gomm is a Living Wage employer, paying a minimum of £12.90 p/h that increases with experience. Unlike other providers, we provide additional benefits to all our staff. On top of your salary, you can earn time and a half for any overtime over 37.5 hours worked per week and paid travel time, where you can claim 45p per mile for work-related mileage over and above the normal commute to work.
