Carr Gomm’s 25th Birthday Celebration!

Carr Gomm is proud to have spent the last 25 years working to stomp out loneliness and isolation in Scotland. Our person-centred approach to support enables us to support over 3000 people every single day in Scotland.

Our highly trained staff work in our services throughout Scotland, including:

  • Argyll & Bute
  • Borders
  • Edinburgh
  • Dundee
  • Forth Valley
  • Glasgow
  • Highland
  • Mid and East Lothian

Our services are based on our values and reflect the choices and aspirations of each individual and community we work with. In our 25 years of supporting people and communities, we have seen how bringing people together and providing opportunities to make meaningful connections can be transformational.

Since our formation in 1998, Carr Gomm has worked with communities to develop projects that enhance people’s lives. A selection of our projects over the years include:

  • Circle of friends in Glasgow North West
  • Club Fun in Forth Valley
  • Community Growing in Edinburgh
  • Dundee Kitchen Garden
  • Dundee Ornamental Garden
  • Men in Sheds in Edinburgh
  • Midlothian Drop-In

Each community project we fund is based on the community’s needs and is accessible and inclusive to all, especially those with poor health, low income, and low self-confidence.

We are proud of what has been accomplished over the past 25 years and are determined to do more in the next 25 years to fight loneliness and isolation in Scotland.

As part of our 25th celebrations, we will be hosting events throughout the year to bring people and communities together and improve people’s mental and physical well-being.

The BIG Carr Gomm Challenge Fundraiser

As part of our 25th birthday, we hope to raise £25,000 to continue our great work of helping combat isolation and loneliness in Scotland, and we want you to get involved!

From climbing Kilimanjaro or crossing the Sahara Desert, to bake sales and hosting a School Disco for adults – our Carr Gomm supporters and staff have done some really great things to help us stomp out loneliness over the last 25 years.

Are you ready to take on a fundraiser challenge and help us achieve even more?

This fundraising challenge is about bringing people together and creating memories while raising money for community projects which do just that!

You can complete a sponsored walk, host an afternoon tea, abseil from a bridge, or complete a jigsaw puzzle every day for a week. Whatever challenge you take, do it with others. So get your friends, family, neighbours, or community involved.

The money you raise will go directly towards setting up and running community projects across Scotland, giving people opportunities to meet new people and feel connected in their community.

In our 25 years of supporting people and communities, we have seen how bringing people together and providing opportunities to make meaningful connections can be transformational.

Be part of that transformation – begin your fundraising journey today.
