Gillian Lewis and Kevin O’Donnell promoted to Senior Operations Managers
We are delighted to announce that Gillian Lewis and Kevin O’Donnell have been promoted to Senior Operations Managers.
Both began their Carr Gomm journeys as Support Workers and have built their careers with us over many years. Their experience of our services, and of the people we support, will be a real strength at executive level.

Kevin has been part of Carr Gomm for almost 20 years. He started as a Support Worker and has since worked as a Projects Officer, Service Manager and Regional Operations Manager.
Kevin said:
“It’s been a fantastic journey and one that has given me the chance to learn from a huge number of colleagues, people we support and partners across the organisation.
I’m passionate about social care and about creating the conditions where people can do their best work. I enjoy solving problems, bringing people together and finding better ways of doing things, particularly when the answer isn’t immediately obvious.
I’m really looking forward to the new role and to getting to know even more of the people and services across Scotland. I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute at a wider strategic level, support our teams through an increasingly complex social care environment, and help Carr Gomm continue to develop services that make a real difference to people’s lives.”
Gillian Lewis, Senior Operations Manager for Development

Gillian joined Carr Gomm in 2003 as a Support Worker. She has over 20 years of experience managing and leading support services as a Service Manager and Operations Manager, and has worked in Edinburgh and the Lothians, Falkirk, Stirling and Dundee. In more recent years, she has led our Business Development Team.
Gillian said:
“People are at the centre of all that we do in social care, and my career has brought an incredible opportunity to build relationships with people we support and their families and the many brilliant colleagues who I have supported and who have supported me throughout the years.
Throughout my career I have been committed to developing services so that people receive the best care and support to help them live the lives they choose. I am also committed to the development of colleagues to ensure that they are supported to reach their goals and can bring their best to their roles.
It has always been exciting and inspiring to work with an organisation that is innovative, never settles and is always looking for ways to improve people’s lives and make a difference in communities. In my new role I am most looking forward to continuing to listen to and work with people to shape social care so that they meet the challenges of today and are ready for the future.”
We wish Gillian and Kevin every success in their new roles.
