Carr Gomm’s National Involvement Group
Carr Gomm’s National Involvement Group is a network of people supported by Carr Gomm, who contribute to the strategic direction of the organisation and who influence change affecting the social care sector. They are part of Carr Gomm’s commitment to amplify the voices of people who we support; so they can influence good change in Carr Gomm and in social care across Scotland. They have contributed to Carr Gomm’s Strategic Plan, the Independent Review of Adult Social Care and, lately, discussions and consultations on the National Care Service.
Our Purpose
We are members of the Carr Gomm National Involvement Group because:
- We want to talk about things and share our views on what we’d like to see in Carr Gomm.
- It’s a time to get Carr Gomm to listen to us.
- We want to help Carr Gomm
- Our role is to monitor what Carr Gomm is doing
- We want to help people understand what it’s like to need the support of Carr Gomm, even if we have difficulties with our speech.
- We want to speak to the staff and to share our views.
- We want to monitor how Carr Gomm’s values are being upheld.
Influencing Change
The Involvement Group help to influence and shape Carr Gomm’s Strategic direction and the wider social care industry.
