Support in Forth Valley

Broomage and Responders Service

In our service we support people to be as involved in their local community as much as they would like. This looks different for each person.

Two of the people we support attend local church services and church social events where they have built up a social group. Others have enjoyed attending the local college for an interactive music class.  These activities bring joy and inclusion, helping them to feel part of their community.

We have a responder team in our region who provide overnight support. This support has been integral in supporting very vulnerable people to stay in their own homes and not long-term care. The team also have been a vital support for people with significant mental health challenges who find night times particularly difficult.

North East Service

The North East Support people to live independently within their own home in the Grangemouth, Bo’Ness and the Braes area of Falkirk.

We support people 24/7 with 1:1 support and sleep over or visit people for a few hours every day or a few times a week. This can involve anything from support to managing household tasks, building confidence to maintain a routine, collection of medication and social support. Those who are supported 24/7 are supported with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, medication, tenancy and achieving personal goals and outcomes.

Within the Forth Valley, we have a social committee called Club Fun, where people we support can attend meetings to plan and arrange social activities, including parties and days out. We love to fundraise for these activities which are used to reduce social isolation and loneliness within the area.
