Celebrating Burns Night in Dunoon
In January, our Dunoon service had a fantastic afternoon celebrating Burns Night! Burns Night takes place on the 25th January each year to celebrate the legacy of Scotland’s National Bard, Robert Burns. It is a time to feel connected to Scotland and each other, and to enjoy good food and conversation.
Staff and people we support came together in Dunoon and enjoyed a fantastic feast of sandwiches, haggis balls and cake, poetry read by the one and only Arthur French and – most importantly – great conversation and company. Events like this remind us how important connection and community are, and we’re so grateful to our amazing staff for their hard work making the day possible!
Our Burns Night lunch was funded by Futures, our staff innovation portal, where team members can apply for fundraised money to bring ideas like this to life. A huge thank you to everyone who supports our fundraising – your generosity helps create special moments like this.
