Embrace Autism Acceptance Week with us as we shine a light on ATLAS –
Autism Training, Learning, and Support

This week, we come together with people around the world to celebrate Autism Acceptance Week 2024.
We celebrate the talents, abilities and the valuable contributions of the autistic community. As we work towards greater inclusivity, Carr Gomm is proud to have ATLAS group contributing to our efforts in fostering support, respect and appreciation for neurodiversity.
The expert group is a diverse team made up of staff from across the organisation. Together, they provide information, training and guidance to teams to ensure that both staff and People We Support are supported in the right way. One such member is Laura Jackson, Administrator Officer, who is not only a valued member of the group but also brings a unique perspective as someone on the autism spectrum. Laura shared their experience of navigating work and life with autism in a personal blog on our website.
Being asked to be a member of ATLAS was a privilege! I feel I have a voice within the group that is respected and valued. I also feel incredibly lucky to be able to help shape change, that will hopefully benefit any Autistic individual within the organisation. – Laura Jackson
The group works with services to create proactive strategies which include both online and classroom-based Autism Awareness training, guidance on creating a support plan and raising awareness of all areas that may affect the lives of people with autism.
