By entering this special prize draw, you will be in with a chance of winning a brilliant prize and, at the same time, helping to stomp out loneliness and isolation across Scotland.

Entry into the prize draw costs £5 for one entry. The more entries you choose, the greater your chances to win, and you can enter as many times as you like.

Carr Gomm is a leading Scottish social care and community development charity aiming to stomp out isolation and loneliness in Scotland. We provide person-centered support to over 3000 people every day so they can live their best possible life – whether this is through being supported in their own homes or by providing a community space where people can come together for a natter.

By entering the draw, you’ll be helping to stomp out isolation and loneliness in Scotland while helping Carr Gomm fundraise for the Big Carr Gomm Challenge – a challenge to raise £25,000 to celebrate 25 years of Carr Gomm’s life-changing work. The money will fund community projects and vital services for communities and people across Scotland.

Win The Proclaimers Tickets and Support Carr Gomm: Prize Draw

1)    By entering this prize draw, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2)    The promoter is Carr Gomm, a registered charity in Scotland (SC033491) with registered office at SPACE, 11 Harewood Road, Edinburgh, EH16 4NT.  


3)    Entry is permitted from anywhere in the world.

4)    Anyone entering the prize draw accepts that in the event that they win a Prize, they are responsible for their own travel to and from the event (and that of their Guest), including complying with any visa requirements.  

5)  Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult over 18. Not suitable for babies or small children.

Entry Requirements and Entry Period

6)    Paid entry to the prize draw is available via Crowdfunder.

a) Minimum entry is £5.

b) No limit to number of paid entries. 

7)    For free entry by post to the prize draw, see clauses 25-28.

8)    The prize draw opens at 12:00 GMT on Thursday 11th  May 2023 and closes at 12:00 GMT on Thursday 1st June 2023 (the ‘Entry Period’). Any entries received after the Entry Period will not be accepted. 

9)    Carr Gomm is not responsible for any delays in postal delivery by Royal Mail. 

The Draw and The Prize Winners

10)    The draw will take place on Friday 2nd June 2023 (the ‘Draw Date’).

11)    Once the Entry Period is closed, each individual valid entry will be entered into the draw.

12)    On the Draw Date the administrator of the draw (Carr Gomm) will use a random number generator to select two (2) Prize winners from the valid entries.

13)    Multiple entries per person are permitted, but only one Prize per person will be given. 

14)    The first number to be drawn will win the First Prize as defined in clause 18(a), the second number to be drawn will win the Second Prize as defined in clause 18(b).

15)    The Prize winners will be notified by email within 5 days of the Draw Date.

16)    In the event that a Prize winner does not make contact with Carr Gomm to claim their Prize within seven (7) days of the Draw Date, or is disqualified from the draw, Carr Gomm will use a random number generator to generate a new Prize winner.

17)    Carr Gomm’s decision as to the Prize winners is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

The Prizes

18)    The Prizes are as follows (each ‘a Prize’): 

a)    First Prize: Two Tickets to see The Proclaimers on Saturday 17th June 2023 at 4 Links Gardens, Leith Links, Edinburgh;

b)    Second Prize: Two Tickets to see The Proclaimers on Sunday 18th June 2023 at 4 Links Gardens, Leith Links, Edinburgh;

19)    Each winner will receive two (2) tickets, with which they can redeem entry to the concert for themselves and a guest (‘Guest’). Each winner must accept sole responsibility for the care and safety of any Guest under the age of 16-years on 17th June 2023 or 18th June 2023, for the duration of the event. 

20)    The Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and are not redeemable for cash or other prizes.

21)    The Winners and their Guest must arrive at the event together. 

22)    Winners and their Guest must not be intoxicated at the point of redeeming their concert experience.

23)    Entry to the concert is subject to the full venue Terms and Conditions of Entry. 

24)    The receipt by the winning entrant of any of the Prizes is conditional upon the winning entrant’s compliance with these rules. Winning entrants may be required to provide a written acknowledgement of these rules and other terms and conditions, consents or releases relating to the Prizes. 

Postal Entry

25)    Postal entrants may enter the promotion: 

a)    by mailing a postcard with their full name, address and a contact telephone number (including area code if providing a landline number) or other method of contact (as applicable), to the following postal address:

b)    by sending an entry within an envelope. Entries received other than in an envelope will not be accepted.

26)    In the case of multiple entries received in a single envelope, only one entry will be entered into the draw.

27)    Entries sent by post;

a)    must be received at the relevant postal address specified for entries by the end of the Entry Period as specified in Clause 8.

b)    Entries which have not been given the correct and sufficient payment for postage will be invalid and will not be considered.

28)    Personal and hand delivered entries will not be accepted.


29)    Carr Gomm shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations to the winner(s) if such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Neither shall Carr Gomm be liable to the winner(s) for any loss or damage suffered in connection with this prize draw and/or the Prize, save in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence or fraud of Carr Gomm.

30)    Carr Gomm reserves the right to make any reasonable amendments to these Terms and Conditions at any stage. In this event, a notice will be posted on Crowdfunder. Carr Gomm also reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.

31)    As a condition of entering the prize draw, entrants must ensure that, by doing so, they do not contravene any laws of their country of residence. Carr Gomm will not be liable in any way if any entrant enters the prize draw unlawfully.

32)    Entrants may be required to participate in publicity without further consent or payment, such publicity including without limitation the entrant’s name, entry or any information provided by the entrant, including photographs and videos. This information may be used by Carr Gomm in any and all media, including but not limited to Carr Gomm’s social media platforms, in perpetuity throughout the world as Carr Gomm may decide. 

33)    Any personal information collected by Carr Gomm in connection with a prize draw will be used in accordance with Carr Gomm’s Privacy Policy 

34)    A list of winners can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Carr Gomm Prize Draw, SPACE, 11 Harewood Road, Edinburgh, EH16 4NT, together with details of the prize draw winners list you require within thirty (30) days from the Draw Date.

35)   Carr Gomm will make available information indicates that a Prize has been awarded under this draw.  To comply with this obligation Carr Gomm will send the surname and county of prize winners to anyone who writes to Carr Gomm Prize Draw, SPACE, 11 Harewood Road, Edinburgh, EH16 4NT (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one (1) month after the Draw Date stated in Clause 10. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Carr Gomm at  In such circumstances, Carr Gomm must still provide the information and winning entries to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

36)    This prize draw and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland and the courts of Scotland shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising therefrom.
