We provide a wide range of accommodation linked and visiting support services, with a focus on supporting people with mental health problems, learning disabilities, complex needs, older people, autism spectrum disorder and physical disabilities.

The team at Morningside Park recently received a lovely reminder of why their work in social care is so important. Jillian Robson, one of our support practitioners, received a wonderful phone call of gratitude from a mother of someone she supports.

R’s story

R has been supported by Carr Gomm for over five years. Having previously struggled to settle in accommodation, our team helped him decorate his space and invest in quality furniture. Now, with a renewed sense of pride in his home, R is managing to keep his room clutter-free, and is much more involved in day-to-day activities.

With less to worry about, and greater confidence in his living environment and support, R’s mum has been able to relax and feel safe in the knowledge that her son is safe and being well cared for.

Jillian said: “R now has more confidence and is actively experiencing his environment a lot more, which is something we couldn’t be more proud of.”

Receiving feedback from the people we support really does make our day. In R’s case, it was clear that our gentle encouragement, along with increased support and care helped to create a more settled environment in which he could flourish.

All parents want to know that their child, of whatever age, is in the best possible hands. These words of appreciation serve as a reminder of our core values and the life-changing support we strive to provide to people every single day.
