Carr Gomm has created a number of additional support practitioner roles to ensure we can continue supporting vulnerable people across Scotland during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We support about 2,000 people every day to remain safe and well in their own homes. We are continuing to provide support to everyone that needs us during these challenging times, in the best way we can, but we need your support to be able to do this.

We are aware that many people are experiencing the impact of the coronavirus on their employment – particularly those in the tourism and hospitality sectors – and we know that many people have a multitude of valuable transferable skills to offer and bring to these roles.

Previous experience in social care is not essential as we will provide full and comprehensive training.

Can you join our frontline and help us support people across Scotland?

We can offer you...

The opportunity to work in one of Scotland’s leading social care and support charities. We look for people with a flexible and inspirational approach, able to find innovative solutions with people, not for them.

We will ensure you come to work every day informed, inspired and determined to make a difference by having a positive impact on people’s lives.

We will support you...

By placing you in a welcoming team under the leadership of a knowledgeable manager. We’ll provide a full induction, regular supervision and team meetings to ensure you maximise your potential.

We’ll develop your career by helping you register as a professional social care practitioner with the Scottish Social Services Council. We’ll pay for and support you to complete your vocational SVQ training, which is required of all social care professionals, and we passionately believe in supporting your continual professional development.

We will reward you...

As a Scottish Living Wage employer, we will pay you at least the Scottish Living Wage. We offer enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave; full salary for travel time and all travel expenses reimbursed; a pension scheme with incremental employer contributions; and an Employee Assistance Programme for all permanent staff, including a comprehensive set of perks and benefits, delivered via Lifeworks.

We will follow official advice…

Carr Gomm is fully linked in with the actions being taken by Government and the NHS around Coronavirus (COVID-19), and we are following all the guidance we are being given.

We are doing everything we can to ensure our staff are kept safe and well during this time.
