I joined the board of Carr Gomm in December 2018.

I’ve really enjoyed meeting people from different parts of the organisation and understanding how Carr Gomm’s vision translates into the services provided and subsequently their approach to working with the people they support.

My day job as Improvement Advisor for Healthcare Improvement Scotland involves scoping and leading large scale complex redesign and continuous improvement across health, LA, the third and independent sector responding to board level requests from across Scotland.

I also have leadership responsibility for the ihub Improvement Fund, which over a period of two years provided funding and expertise to support local areas to prototype and test ideas which have the potential for regional and/or national impact.

I love big challenges and complex problems as well as working with people so this is the perfect job for me!

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my son and organising large community events to raise money for charity.

I love cooking Thai and Middle Eastern food inspired by time travelling in these countries.

I am also a director for ‘All you need is love’ – a charity that supports Myanmar migrant children with cerebral palsy where I also worked as a volunteer occupational therapist for a short time.

I am hugely inspired by other women who have made huge sacrifices which have allowed others the freedom to vote and work in professions that 100’s of years ago would never have seemed possible.
