We all need support from others at times, regardless of who we are, what we do or the challenges we face. We all need the system of social care supports to be fit for purpose.
Carr Gomm is committed to using our experience and expertise and to work in partnership to achieve ‘good change’ across the social care sector. Therefore, we welcomed the Independent Review of Adult Social Care and the subsequent Consultation on a National Care Service.
The National Care Service (Scotland) Bill sets out a commitment to human rights, to fair work, early intervention and coproduction. Carr Gomm supports these aspirations.
But ‘good change’ requires more than legislative change, and we look forward to contributing our insight and expertise to the discussions around culture change and the necessary financial investment required to ensure that we can all access the right support at the right time and in the right way.
