We are planning a big year of challenges in 2020 and we want YOU to join in.

Last year, we launched a new initiative called Team Carr Gomm, which aims to tackle social isolation and loneliness by bringing people together to get active, be social and raise some money along the way. We specifically designed the campaign to be as inclusive as possible, believing there should be no barriers to anyone getting involved. Following the immensely positive feedback we received around this campaign we have adopted Team Carr Gomm as our ongoing fundraising initiative, and are currently planning a big year of challenges in 2020.

Our vision is to provide opportunities for as many people as possible to do something extraordinary, something which they wouldn’t normally believe possible for themselves, something which brings them together with others who are passionate about breaking down barriers and achieving the perhaps seemingly impossible. And all in keeping with the Team Carr Gomm ethos; to get active, be social, and raise money along the way.

Why? So that we can stomp out loneliness by funding projects and activities in local communities across Scotland; so that we can provide support where no one else is; so that, by embracing a challenge of our own, we can support people to overcome the barriers in their own lives.

We know that a challenge looks different to everyone. For some, it could be trekking the length of the Southern Upland Way (all 214 miles of it!), scaling the heights of Mount Kilimanjaro, or embracing the adrenaline rush of a bungee jump. For others, it could be smashing your first marathon, taking part in a wheelchair race, or hosting a ceilidh in your local community.

Whatever the challenge you choose, we will be here every step of the way, cheering you on and encouraging you to reach your goals. Stay tuned to our fundraising challenges page and social media channels for lots of inspiration and upcoming events you can join in with.

Join Team Carr Gomm today by signing up to a challenge, giving a donation, or sponsoring one of our challenge enthusiasts!
