I’m a trained molecular biologist, subsequently trained in business management, working with universities and investors to build and invest in exciting new technologies and treatments within life sciences and healthcare. As part of this role, I’m responsible for board-level management in many of these companies for hiring, fundraising, ensuring long-term sustainability and good governance.
Working with smaller companies looking to develop and make a meaningful impact, I see strong overlap in the charitable sector, where organisations like Carr Gomm make great contributions to society. Carr Gomm’s dynamic approach to meeting the continually evolving needs of society is what helps make it unique and well-known, and I’m excited by the prospect of supporting Carr Gomm in continuing to deliver on its social mission while working with local government and international partners to share best practices and collaborate to improve services and support.
