News News Spreading festive joy in Campbeltown Our lovely team in Campbeltown has been keeping busy, working with Shopper Aide to help people supported, and the wider Kintyre community, make the most of a very different Christmas this year. Elizabeth Collett, service manager at Carr Gomm, said: “I had the pleasure of helping give out goody bags and presents from Shopper Aide, with people supported absolutely delighted by the thoughtful gifts and sweet treats. Shopper Aide is a hugely valuable service in Campbeltown and beyond, working hard to support the local community." The aim of the project was to spread some much needed festive joy across an area that is geographically far from many of Scotland’s larger towns and cities. In total, 240 people received a surprise gift; a great result and something we were very proud to be a part of. Did you know? Shopper Aide was set-up in 2011 to provide support and services to those aged over 60, most at risk of social isolation. The organisation has grown over the years, and is now an established support service operating throughout Kintyre.
