One of our services in Edinburgh received a gift of funding from a relative of a person supported.

The team brought people together for a session to decide how the funding could be used to benefit everyone at the service. There was a myriad of ideas suggested. From organising a party, to purchasing garden furniture, the get-together provided an excuse for a blether and laughter.

Of course, no planning session is complete without pizza! As a little surprise, Jillian Robson and the team of support practitioners arranged for some scrumptious food to help aid decision-making!

Jillian, said: “The pizza party encouraged everyone to get around the table, share ideas, work together as a team, and think about how this gift might help benefit both our service and people supported. We’re looking forward to choosing one or two of the ideas in the coming weeks. We may just need to organise another pizza party to celebrate!”

RJ is the gentleman standing; and it was his uncle who kindly made the donation. MA is the gentleman sitting.

We’re committed to tackling isolation and loneliness, by bringing people together and supporting everyone to live their lives safely and well according to their choice. We do this in lots of different ways, including involving people supported in key decisions about things that impact them.

This generous gift provides even more opportunities for us to carry out our life-changing work.
