Our Dundee Visiting service has created wish lists for Fred and David A, as part of the #SpreadKindness project.

The project, funded by the Scottish Government’s Wellbeing Fund, is enabling us to provide more than 300 bespoke #SpreadKindness packages that will help maintain people’s health and wellbeing. We are submitting Wish Lists to Amazon, and are supporting people to pick the items and activities they would like in order to alleviate boredom and anxiety.

Both Fred and David A were overwhelmed to receive their gifts. Fred, who is a fan of the Dundee Football Team, was excited to be gifted with a collection of the team’s books and memorabilia. Fred enjoys watching the Dundee games and so it is a perfect gift for him.

Unfortunately, Fred has had a recent bereavement, and receiving his gift couldn’t have come at a better time. Reading his Dundee FC books has been a positive distraction, allowing him to keep his mind busy during a difficult period.

David Mckenzie, one of our staff members, discovered David A’s passion for Dr. Who, after going through some of his DVD/magazine collections. Tom Baker is his favourite character and so receiving a Tom Baker scarf was very sentimental for David A.

David said: “The gifts were a surprise to both of them because they didn’t expect they would be so specific to their interests.”
