News News Dungeons and Dragons is going National Euan Roach, a support practitioner from our Stirling service, is in the planning process of creating a Carr Gomm-wide Dungeons and Dragons game session. Dungeons and Dragons is a fantasy game where players are able to create their own characters and embark on a variety of explorations within the game. The idea for a national game was inspired by Ben, who Euan supports. Ben had been shielding during lockdown and so cancelled his support. However, he still had regular phone calls with Euan where he expressed his interest in learning how to play Dungeons and Dragons. Euan regularly plays this game with his friends online and was more than happy to provide Ben with an introductory lesson. He said: “Ben really enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons. During his introductory session I walked him through how to create his own characters and learn the rule-set. “This gave me the inspiration to find out if there would be any interest in organising a company-wide games session. “We are already getting a few sign-ups and luckily enough the game can be run over Zoom or Microsoft teams, which would allow people from across the organisation to join in. “This will be beneficial for a number of the people who have felt stuck inside over the last few months. “It is also a great way to bring everyone together and have a laugh.” If you or someone you support would be interested in joining in on this Dungeons and Dragons company–wide games session then contact [email protected].
