Dora, a support practitioner from Forth Valley, has been hosting monthly yoga sessions to help people stay motivated, stay active, and stay connected.

Once a month, Dora selects a different part of the body for the class to focus on which helps build strength in a particular area. The sessions have been a huge hit, with people of all abilities taking part.

Over the weeks, the Carr Gomm team have participated on their days off because they also love Dora's yoga moves.

Cara Davis, support practitioner, said: “Dora creates a class plan, which we follow. The first month we focused on our shoulders which everyone really enjoyed. It’s so lovely because at the end of the session, we  practice  meditation and  give ourselves  a big hug.

This really lifts the mood of the people we support.”

We want to thank Dora for teaching us yoga and taking the time out of her busy schedule to lift the spirits of both people supported and the Carr Gomm team.

This is just another great example of how our staff often go and above and beyond for the people they support.
