News News Carr Gomm are swooping in to lend some support Arthur is a new addition to the ‘Carr Gomm family’. Carr Gomm has recently started to provide support to the Argyll and Bute resident – and the efforts have received a huge thank you from those who know him. Arthur, who lives on his own, had been struggling with his mobility and his overall well-being had deteriorated recently. Therefore, planned visits were put in place for Carr Gomm’s night and day responder team. This team helps people to remain independent whilst staying safe and well at home. They ensured that Arthur was supported and able to work towards improving his health and maintaining his independence. Amanda Grehan, Service Manager with Carr Gomm, said: “There has been a positive change in Arthur recently. His home environment has improved, he is engaging with support, enjoying the social company of staff members and his mobility is more stable. “I recently received an email from his social worker, passing on a message of thanks from Arthur's physiotherapist. She said his mobility had improved and to thank Carr Gomm; in particular Laura Holland, his support practitioner, for all of the amazing work and support. “It’s wonderful to receive such lovely feedback and it is a great reminder of the positive impact staff and the organisation are making on people’s lives today and every day.” If you would like to find out more about receiving support from Carr Gomm, get in touch via our online form.
