Do you want to take on a challenge in 2020? Do you want to have the ride of your life whilst raising money to tackle loneliness and isolation?

Then join Team Carr Gomm with this white water rafting adventure, and enjoy experiencing some of Scotland's most beautiful locations in a new way.

There are many reasons to sit comfortably at home – it is warm, dry and safe. But that is not where memories come from. Taking on a new challenge with my Uncle is one of my best memories and it will never be forgotten. The best memories come from the best experiences.” [Andrew, Team Carr Gomm fundraiser]

Team Carr Gomm is seeking to raise £60,000 via a team of at least 100 people, all doing something extraordinary, taking on a challenge and breaking down barriers. It's ultimate goal is to build connections; by encouraging people to take part in the campaign itself, and by raising money to fund activities and projects across Scotland which are bringing people together to tackle loneliness and isolation.

And what better way to create memories, get active and be social than white water rafting through Perthshire. Take on the challenge and ask those you know to sponsor you to complete it.

We are delighted to be working with Activity Scotland to bring you these trips. They range from low-stress mild river runs which are perfect for a few splashes for the tame at heart, to white-knuckle, stomach churning rapids and roller coaster drops! Their friendly, professional staff will help pair the right stretch of river to the level of excitement and difficulty that you’re looking for.

River Tay is the largest volume river rafted commercially in Scotland, ideal for first-time rafters and adrenaline junkies alike - stretches of quiet water allow ample time to practice paddling techniques, look at the scenery or get caught up in a friendly water fight. If it is bigger rapids you are seeking, why not come along on a challenge on the River Tummel, which boasts guaranteed water levels throughout the summer season; the Scottish Hydro Electric release a substantial amount of water from the Clunie Dam during the weekends. The Tummel has two main rapids - Zoom Flume and of course the unforgettable Washing Machine, which offer a great introduction to the thrills and adventure of white water rafting in Perthshire...

Prices start from £40 per person and we would suggest a target fundraising goal of £500. The sky is the limit and you may decide to do a bigger group target. We will be with you to encourage you every step of the way and support you to reach your fundraising goals.
