Do you want to do something extraordinary in 2020? Do you want to break down barriers and take on an exhilarating challenge - and all whilst raising money to tackle loneliness and isolation?

Then join Team Carr Gomm with this wheelchair abseil and experience something truly unique.

I was motivated to fundraise because I’m aware of the negative impact of loneliness, and have seen the benefits of Carr Gomm's projects in my own community.” [Alex, a Team Carr Gomm fundraiser]

What is this in aid of?

Team Carr Gomm is seeking to raise £60,000 via a team of at least 100 people, all doing something extraordinary, taking on a challenge and breaking down barriers. It's ultimate goal is to build connections; by encouraging people to take part in the campaign itself, and by raising money to fund activities and projects across Scotland which are bringing people together to tackle loneliness and isolation.

We believe there should be no barriers to people joining Team Carr Gomm and experiencing new things. So we are delighted to be working with Activity Scotland to offer this extraordinary opportunity; take on the challenge and ask those you know to sponsor you to complete it.

About the challenge

Each abseil can be tailored to each individual’s needs and personal goals, whether that be abseiling in a wheelchair, or needing a wheelchair or mobility aid to get you to the start/from the finish. Potential locations are available around Scotland throughout the year.

We would suggest a fundraising target of £250 but the sky is the limit! And we will be here to support you every step of the way with your fundraising efforts.
