Love walking? Want to take on a challenge in 2020 whilst wandering along the banks of Loch Lomond and spotting the elusive red deer? And all whilst raising money to tackle loneliness and isolation?

Then join Team Carr Gomm with this truly unique experience.

"There are many reasons to sit comfortably at home – it is warm, dry and safe. But that is not where memories come from. Taking on a new challenge with my Uncle is one of my best memories and it will never be forgotten. The best memories come from the best experiences.

[Andrew, a Team Carr Gomm fundraiser]

What is this in aid of?

Team Carr Gomm is seeking to raise £60,000 via a team of at least 100 people, all doing something extraordinary, taking on a challenge and breaking down barriers. It's ultimate goal is to build connections; by encouraging people to take part in the campaign itself, and by raising money to fund activities and projects across Scotland which are bringing people together to tackle loneliness and isolation.

And what better way to get active and social than by trekking the West Highland Way with a group of like-minded challenge enthusiasts? Take on the adventure and ask those you know to sponsor you to complete it.

About the challenge

Brought to you by Contours Walking Holidays, the West Highland Way traverses 95 miles from Milngavie to Fort William, taking in arguably the very best scenery to be found in the Scottish Highlands.

The adventure can be booked any time between March and October. Contours Walking Holidays have created a number of packages that reflect the ability of the walkers and help spread out the miles over a larger period of time if needed.

We would suggest a fundraising target of £500 but every little helps! And we will be here to support you every step of the way with your fundraising efforts.
