Do you love running? Are you looking to push yourself to achieve your personal best in 2020? Even more, do you want to do something to raise money and tackle loneliness and isolation?

Then join Team Carr Gomm with these running challenges in Edinburgh.

I’ve worked with Carr Gomm for a long time, so I have personally seen the difference fundraised money makes to the lives of the people we support. I love running, and taking on running events has been as much of a personal achievement as it has been to raise money for such a great cause." [Gillian, a Team Carr Gomm fundraiser]

What is this in aid of?

Team Carr Gomm is seeking to raise £60,000 via a team of at least 100 people, all doing something extraordinary, taking on a challenge and breaking down barriers. It's ultimate goal is to build connections; by encouraging people to take part in the campaign itself, and by raising money to fund activities and projects across Scotland which are bringing people together to tackle loneliness and isolation.

And what better way to push yourself that little but further than with the Kilomathon.

About the event

It takes place in Edinburgh and is run on the beautiful Edinburgh cycle path network. Runners take in the historic Royal Yacht Britannia, picturesque Victoria Park and enjoy tranquil cycle paths before a fantastic finish in front of the West Stand at Murrayfield Stadium.

There are three Kilomathon distances to choose from:

  1. The 13.1K is an excellent distance for those looking to step-up from a 10K and training for a half/marathon, or looking for a bridging gap between a 10K and a half marathon.
  2. The 6.55K is an ideal step-up from a 5K, or as a stepping stone to the 10K distance.
  3. The 2.62K junior race is a fun race for kids and takes place inside Murrayfield Stadium, the home of Scottish Rugby.

The 2020 Kilomathon Scotland will take place on Sunday 5th April.

We would suggest a fundraising target of £200, but the sky is the limit! And we will be here to support you every step of the way with your fundraising efforts.
