Person-Centred Planning

Person-Centred Planning is a way to work out what you want to do in your life, when you feel stuck and not sure how to move forward.

We know from our experience of planning with people that they have found that it helps them and the people around them to:

  • Think about who is in their life and make and develop new friendships
  • Find new possibilities and experiences
  • Feel good about themselves and be more confident
  • Feel and be an important part of the community

We have highly experienced facilitators who have facilitated sessions for several years for a wide range of individuals and groups.

Who is it for?

Anyone who wants to develop a vision for the future or make changes in their life but isn’t sure how to make a start.

It can work for an individual wanting to move on in their life or an organization wanting to renew their mission/build plans for teams.
We offer person centred planning to enable people to put together their support plan where they have a direct payment.

What can a plan do for me?

It can help you find ways to achieve some of your dreams.

A way to focus on the future by identifying goals and setting targets

To reflect on both good and bad times in the past.

What will I get out of it?

A chance to for you and others to listen to what you want and really focus on what is important to you in your life.  The plan is all about you.

“The most important thing is that for the first time, it was all about Graeme, not about other people’s perception of Graeme.”  (Ann, commenting on a plan done with her son Graeme)

How will the plan be done?

You will choose a place for the plan to happen.

  • Invite people to come along – choose people who want to see you move forward in your life and can help you feel motivated.
  • One of the facilitators will talk to you about your life and the changes you want to make.
  • The other facilitator will write up everything which is said on a big piece of paper for everyone in the room to see.  The work done on the day is yours to keep and take forward.

How long does it take to do a plan?

It can take between 4 and 5 hours to do a plan. You will be asked on your booking form what time you would like to start.

How much does it cost?

There is no charge if you are already supported by us. If you are not supported the charge is £300 and you will be invoiced once you booked a date for your plan.

Charges apply for a full day of planning with a group or organisation, please contact us.
