Carr Gomm’s summer fundraising campaign to come to a close

Express Yourself

With Storm Ali recently blasting its way through the country, it’s safe to say that autumn is well and truly here.

Sadly, this means that it is now time for us to draw our 2018 summer campaign to a close.

On Monday 1st October, we’ll officially close the Team Carr Gomm summer initiative.

Throughout the summer months, we challenged supporters to raise £30,000 by pledging a target number of miles, which was then added to our 1,000 mile route around Scotland.

We’re very excited to report that we’ve almost doubled the number of miles we intended to do, with the counter currently sitting at 1,878 miles.

The aim of Team Carr Gomm is to get people out and about and socialising with each other, so by the looks of things we’ve more than achieved this over the last five months.

We’re also sitting at a modest total of £20,515. We’d absolutely love to keep climbing towards our target.

Let’s all give it one final push so we’re even more equipped to stomp out loneliness in communities across Scotland.

Whilst this means that all our summer fundraising events are drawing to a close, the good news is that this does not spell the end for Team Carr Gomm.

Team Carr Gomm will continue to live on as our overarching fundraising theme.

The feedback from staff and people we support has been so positive that we felt that it was only right to continue giving people the opportunity to be active and social – whilst hopefully raising some money for our good cause along the way.

So, please do keep checking this website for more information on how our fundraising is faring and don’t forget to follow us @CG_CarrGomm on Twitter and @CarrGomm on Facebook.
