People with learning disabilities

Carr Gomm has experience and expertise in supporting people with a learning disability, including people making transitions from home to independent living or to less intensive community based support services.

Our services:

  • provide support at home via either accommodation linked or specialist visiting support services.
  • have support ranging from very intensive to light, and support range from a few hours per week to 24 hours per day.

We have a significant skill base in working with people who have additional support needs, such as a mental health problem or physical support needs, and we have the knowledge and confidence to support people who otherwise would find it hard to access services.

Our Positive Behaviour Support Team provides training to all workers and additional advice in supporting particular individuals.   Members of this team are accredited to the PROACT-SCIP-UKr approach which is BILD accredited.
